All our servers are located within the Interhouse Redbus II (Meridian
Gate) Data Centre at the London Docklands. Redbus II features the very
latest world class resilient infrastructure, including multiple levels
of 24/7 security, stable high-capacity power supplies, fire protection
and enviromental controls.
The network is fully redundant and has been built using only routers
and switches from the best manufacturers such as Cisco and Extreme
Networks. This combination provides both the network reliability and the
speed to deliver your web site quickly.
Physical Security
All Redbus Interhouse Datacentres feature totally comprehensive 24/7
security to keep our equipment 100% safe. This means our customers have
the protection of security barriers, 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site
personnel to include visual verification of all persons entering the
building, CCTV video camers surveillance and a security breach alarm
provides the control room with information.
Access
Access to the buildings, data floors and individual area's are via
individually programmed Proximity Access Cards (PAC), usage of the PAC
is logged centrally by time and date. the cards cannot be used by anyone
else, whenever you swipe your card tag over the sensors to gain access
to the building, your digital photograph will be displayed on our
security systems which are continuously monitored by our on-site
technicians. The technicians will then verify the information and only
when satisfied, allow access.
Power
All Redbus facilities are built to at least an N+1 standard; put simply,
this means that if two generators are required to provide non-stop
power, then there'll be three installed. So rather than guaranteeing
99.99% availability, the guarantee is 100%.
Fire Detection/Supression
Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) is installed in every
facility. These highly sesitive aspirating smoke detectors are linked to
the Building Management System which is monitored continually from a
network operations centre, provide very early detection to help avaid
fire, loss and business disruption. This is coupled with a gas based
fire retardant that is enviromentally friendly, to put out fires
instantly, without damaging equipment.
Air Conditioning
To ensure optimum performance, all data floors are maintained at a
constant 21° ± 2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Both are
continually monitored via the
BMS.
Building Management Systems
All Redbus Interhouse facilities operate computerised Building
Management Systems that monitor and remotely operate sesors covering
electrical, mechanical, fire detection and leak detection systems.
Backbone Carriers
Our servers are connected to many backbone carriers including, Level(3),
Globalcrossing, NTT, Telia, Tiscali, Enta, Euroconnex and Linx.
